Since the establishment of the Northern Wei Dynasty,Tuoba Xianbei entered the south of the Great Wall and began to form a mixed cultural form of Hu and Han.This paper analyzes and discusses the modification of Xianbei during the Northern Wei Dynasty and the cultural integration after the migration to the south.Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty undertook a series of actions to"change the surname"of the Xianbei people,which greatly changed the cultural traditions of the Xianbei people,and the result was to transform the tribal cultural identity of the ethnic group into a national Chinese cultural identity.As one of the important contents of the reform of the Northern Wei Dynasty,the Taihe reform mainly promoted the Xianbei people to shift from tribal culture to dynastic culture through top-down edicts,although it encountered some resistance in the early stage,but in the end the Xianbei culture successfully absorbed and integrated into the Central Plains culture,promoted the exchange,exchange and integration of various ethnic groups in the deepest level of cultural identity,and created a pluralistic and integrated cultural form of harmonious coexistence of multi-ethnic cultures.
