From Formula to Formulaic Diction——An Analysis of Oral Formula in Horqin Narrative Folk Songs
As the folk oral art spread in the Horqin area,Horqin narrative folk songs are usually repeated with short and delicate musical passages matched with many rhymes and accompanied by the narration.They have many characteristics such as numerous stories and rich tunes.Based on the oral formula theory,it can be found that the formula application features of Horqin's narrative folk songs are simplified and highly flexible,and syntactic formulas such as rhyme,sentence and paragraph provide a stable structure for the construction of poetic lines.The formulas of different levels are organized according to the rules,forming a complex and orderly relationship network,which maintains the normal operation of oral performance systems of Horqin narrative folk songs.
