Characterization of the structure and diversity of fish community in Cheng Lake
In order to investigate the characteristics of fish community structure and diversity in Cheng Lake(31°17′~31°25′N,120°79′~120°88′E),fish surveys were conducted in May(Spring),July 2022(Summer),October(Fall),and January 2023(Winter)and the fish community structure and diversity characteristics were analyzed in this lake.In the survey,a total of 37 species of fish were found, belonging to 5 orders,7 families and 27 genera, including 1 exotic species and 1 hybrid species, with 28 dominant species in Cyprinida, and the domi-nant composition of fish species by sedentary and omnivorous fishes, including bighead carp Aristichthys nobilis,sil-ver carp Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, estuarine tapertail anchovy Coilia nasus,Toxabramis swinhonis and Pseudo-brama simoni throughout the year.Biodiversity analyses showed that the Shannon-Wiener diversity index and the Pielou evenness index were both the maximum in the spring, and the Margalef richness index the maximum in the fall. The ABC curve analysis revealed that Cheng Lake was in a relatively stable state throughout the year, and the biomass-abundance curve was crossed in autumn, indicating that Cheng Lake was slightly disturbed in autumn. The finding indicates that the diversity of fish in Cheng Lake is at a high level, and the increase of bighead carp and sil-ver carp has improved the diversity and stability of the fish community structure in Cheng Lake.
