The emergence logic,theoretical debates,and explanatory implications of Chinese-style modernization
"Chinese-style modernization"as a significant proposition put forward by the Communist Party of China in the New Era represents a theoretical summary and affirmative evaluation of the remarkable achievements in China's modernization endeavors.It demonstrates the existence of another path to human modernization.However,the blind faith in Western modernization theories and discourses caused misperceptions such as"convergence theory,""exclusivity theory"and"model theory."The"style"in Chinese-style modernization refers to patterns and approaches,thus requiring an understanding from multiple dimensions such as historical tradition,cultural richness,development objectives and the current national conditions.Therefore,it remains an essential effort to firmly grasp the discourse authority in the modernization process by clarifying Chinese-style modernization as the modernization of a nation with a civilization history of over five thousand years,the socialist modernization led by the Communist Party of China,a modernization rooted in its own national conditions and practices,and a modernization that transcends Western centrism.
