The Conceptual Evolution and Connotational Change of "Chinese Economics"
Clarifying the law of conceptual evolution and connotational change of"Chinese economics"is the premise of building"Chinese economics"with its autonomous knowledge system.The aca-demic circles discussed whether the term"Chinese economics"was reasonable or not(1921-1978),what kind of meaning of"Chinese economics"should be chosen(1978-2012)and how to build"Chinese economics"with its autonomous knowledge system(2012-present).They car-ried out discussions in three historical stages respectively,namely,the period of new democratic revolution and socialist revolution and construction,the period of reform and opening-up and so-cialist modernization construction and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and based on it examined the changes in the concept and connotation of"Chinese economics"."Chi-nese economics"evolved along three paths:Marxist political economy,modern Western economics and economic theory with Chinese characteristics guided by Marxist political economy and by ab-sorbing reasonable elements of modern Western economics and traditional Chinese economic thought,thus finally forming three different meanings of"Chinese economics",that is,"Chinese economics"characterized by the Sinicization and epochal transformation of Marxist political econo-my;"Chinese economics"characterized by the localization of modern Western economics and the localized"Chinese economics"guided by Marxist economics and by drawing on reasonable ele-ments of modern Western economics,inheriting reasonable elements of traditional Chinese eco-nomic thought and revealing the law of Chinese economic development.
