Maintainability Analysis of Substation Automation System Based on IEC61850

This paper illustrates the feature of substation automation system (SAS) based on IEC6180 and analyzes the situation of IEC61850 projects implemented since 2009.Some issues associated with the maintenance of SAS are proposed.The prospects of IEC61850 are discussed in terms of design,construction,routine maintenance as well as fault analysis.
