    查看更多>>摘要:This paper provides a comprehensive summary of the scale,allocation and operation situation of relay protection equipment of the 220 kV and above AC systems run by the State Grid Corporation of China in 2012 and 2013.It also analyzes the changing trend of the relevant indices of relay protection during the five years from 2009 to 2013.At the same time,it analyzes in detail two typical relay malfunction events in 2012 and 2013.

    查看更多>>摘要:This paper proposes a distributed computing architecture for protection functions within a digital substation,in order to achieve data redundancy,functional redundancy and functional coordination.This can be realized primarily due to the advances in digital and communications technology within a substation,particularly the process bus which allows data sharing between Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).Results of backup protection investigation,using redundant information both within the substation and on a wide area basis,are then presented.A campus microgrid protection scheme was used as a test case to demonstrate the concept of protection using shared information.Finally,the paper proposes a multi-agent system as a simulation platform,which can be used to further demonstrate some of these concepts.

    查看更多>>摘要:Based on the analysis and inductive research on the current problems,the solution to support the smart substation project is put forward to improve the construction efficiency of a smart substation,guarantee safety of operation and maintenance,and meet requirements for the design,commissioning,and operation and maintenance of a smart substation.The solution is to add innovative thoughts of "integration on design and configuration," "SCD file decoupling," "visualization of virtual secondary circuit" and "SCD file control" into the PRS-7000 series tool.As an integration tool for the design and configuration of a smart substation,PRS-7001 has effectively inherited the knowledge and operation practice of the design institute by applying a typical design template and a virtual terminal connected database.The PRS-7002 secondary circuit visual tool can display the virtual circuit connection and configuration of the SCD files in a multi-function and multiperspective way.Besides,it can effectively support commissioning,defects eliminating and overhauling.The PRS-7003 SCD control tool has not only the off-line control functions for version management and tracing,inspection and warning for information changes and scope definition for upgrading of devices,but also the functions of process level confguration for the device and CRC orline comparison.

    查看更多>>摘要:This paper focus on the problems with smart substations such as long period of construction and design,difficulties of debugging and maintenance.According to the whole process of designing,construction,operation and maintenance of smart substations and characteristics of IED,the plug and play technology on the whole life cycle of a smart substation is proposed.Standardized virtual terminal description is used in matching the signals,standardized definitions and order of virtual terminal is used in connecting the signals,and management server is used in managing IED failures and backup.The plug and play technology can effectively improve the efficiency of design,construction,operation and maintenance of smart substations.

    查看更多>>摘要:Intelligent substations adopt various kinds of new technologies,including information sharing technology based on IEC61850,digital sampling technology,synchronization technology,and network transmission technology.Relay protection equipment faces all the challenges brought by the application of these new technologies.After analyzing the demand for test,the authors propose testing methods and technical requirements targeting the test items in great need,including ICD model file test,digital interface performance test,coordination performance test with merging unit and smart terminal,network pressure test.And the problems occurring during the tests are summarized.

    查看更多>>摘要:Compared with traditional synchronous generators,wind turbine generators are different in electricity generation principles,control modes and integration topologies,which makes their fault characteristics change a lot.This,consequently,brings challenges regarding the behavior of protections for wind farm collector systems.In this paper,based on a practical wind farm,configuration and setting of relay protections for such a collector system is analyzed and determined systematically in consideration of the selectivity and sensitivity of the protections.Results show that misoperation of overcurrent relay and zero sequence overcurrent relay of the non-fault collector line occurs,and bus differential relay of collector bus cannot remove the single-phase-to-ground fault.In order to solve the problems,a novel substation-area protection for collector system is proposed and its operation mechanism is discussed.
