Because the wind power is random,fluctuating and intermittent.the increasing capacity of wind power will influence the safe and stable operation of the grid.Therefore,it is important to calculate the maximum wind energy for the operation and planning of power grid.Firstly,in this paper,a combined iteration method is used to power flow calculation for power systems which contain wind farms.For another,with the constraint of the static security and stability of power system and power quality,the paper gives the mathematical model of the maximum power grid wind farms.A improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the problem,which takes stochastic volatility of wind and the wake effect of wind turbine into consideration.Finally yunnan power grid is used as an example to verify and analyze.The calculation results show this method is feasible and accurate.
