When a complex electrostatic field problem is decomposed into two or even more sub-problems and the electric potential is solved by using the superposition principle,how to reasonably select the electric potential zero point of each sub-problem is studied and discussed.Firstly,the arbitrariness and relativity of the selection of electric potential reference point are discussed.Afterwards,the rationality of the selection of electric potential reference point is derived through a practical electrostatic field problem.Finally,the rationality is analyzed and discussed from energy and uniqueness theorem.
