Reflection on an Error-prone Question in Calculating Microwave Transmission Power
The transmission power of microwave transmission lines is an important problem in microwave technology. In order to strengthen students'understanding of the transmission power, this paper analyzes the reasons for the wrong solution by taking an error-prone question as an example, points out the correct solution of the amplitude of the incident wave voltage, discusses the two relations between the amplitude of the incident wave voltage and the terminal load on the special length transmission lines, and uses the resulting relational equation to solve the error-prone question again. The results show that the two relational equations are both simple, clear, accurate and intuitive, which is an effective way to accurately calculate the microwave transmission power.
