Time Domain Analysis Method for Calculating Impulse Response from Circuit Response under General Excitation
Impulse response and convolution integral are the basic teaching contents of the Circuit Theory course. If the unit impulse response of the circuit is known, the zero-state response of the circuit to any excitation can be obtained by using the concept of convolution integral.Based on the concept and property of convolution integral,a time domain analysis method of circuit impulse response is proposed. The unit impulse response of the circuit is calculated by using the circuit response under non-impulse excitation. The correctness of this method is verified by examples.Compared with the s-domain analysis method, the proposed time-domain analysis method is based on the time-domain responses of circuits.Although it is slightly complex, its physical meaning is clear. It makes up for the shortage of the method of directly solving the impulse response from the time domain.
