The Teaching Research of Reflection and Transmission Coefficients of Plane Electromagnetic Waves
The expressions of reflection and transmission coefficients for parallel polarized waves obliquely incident to ideal medium partition interface are studied.The expressions for the reflection and transmission coefficients are defined in three ways,such as tangential electric field,normal electric field,and total electric field amplitude,and each of them is divided into two cases according to the same or opposite reference phases of the reflected and incident fields.Finally,the equivalence of the reflection and transmission coefficients in the three cases is demonstrated by examples for the calculation of the reflected and transmitted fields.
