With regards to harmonic detection of the active filter,recursive variational mode decomposition (VMD)was applied to harmonic detection part in the active filter.A series of bandwidth-limited intrinsic mode functions (BIMF)were obtained through recursive VMD of harmonic current, with different BIMF representing different frequency components, that is, BIMF components of fundamental and other harmonics were obtained.Harmonic detection was thus completed.In the course of decomposition,the modal function was reconstructed by limiting the bandwidth and estimating center frequency.Simulation results showed that the harmonic detection method based on recursive VMD could accurately and effectively extract harmonics from the electric power system.
