High Voltage Ride Through Control Strategy for Permanent Magnet Wind Turbine Based on Pitch Angle Control
To address the risk of overspeed and disconnection in traditional high voltage ride through control strategies for permanent magnet wind turbines,a high voltage ride through control strategy based on pitch angle control was proposed.During the high voltage ride through period, firstly, the reactive power support was provided to the grid according to grid connection requirements;secondly, considering the limitation of rotor speed, when the rotor speed reached the reference value, the pitch angle control was started up to suppress the increase of rotor speed;finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy was verified through simulation experiments.Adopting a high voltage ride through control strategy based on pitch angle control for permanent magnet wind turbines,it can not only provide reactive power support to the power grid, but also avoid overspeed disconnection.
