Sub-synchronous Oscillation Suppression Strategy in Wind Power Flexible and Direct Grid Connection
Flexible DC transmission technology based on modular multilevel converter(MMC)has become an important solution for large-scale long-distance wind power grid connection. However, because MMC itself contains a large number of power electronic devices, there is a risk of causing sub-synchronous oscillation. For the problem of sub-synchronous oscillation,an additional damping control strategy taking into account the rotor side of the wind turbine and the circulation suppressor was proposed.Based on the establishment of the wind power grid connection model, the generation mechanism of sub-synchronous oscillation was further analyzed and studied using the impedance method. The simulation test was carried out by MATLAB/Simulink.The results show that the control strategy can suppress the oscillation faster and improve the power quality better, and verify the feasibility and correctness of the method.
