Adaptive Control Strategy of Virtual Inertia and Damping for Converters
Aiming at the frequency overshoot of traditional virtual synchronous generator(VSG)for converters in the transient process,a cooperative adaptive control strategy of virtual inertia and damping coefficient was proposed.Firstly, the VSG energy storage converter system was modeled mathematically. Then, based on the analysis of VSG active power and angular frequency transient characteristic curves,a cooperative adaptive control strategy of virtual inertia and damping coefficient was proposed. At the same time, the active power loop transfer function was established based on the small-signal model analysis method of traditional synchronous generator, and the selection range of parameters was given. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive control strategy in improving the frequency and power transient characteristics is verified by means of MATLAB/Simulink simulation.
