Automatic Isolation Method for Main Station Feeder Fault Section of Distribution Network
A new automatic isolation method for feeder fault sections in a distribution network based on grid structure and correlation matrix was proposed to address the issue of traditional isolation methods not being able to accurately determine the fault section of the feeder line, resulting in long isolation time and high peak DC voltage.Firstly,a distribution network model was built based on a typical distribution network structure to obtain the correlation matrix of distribution network nodes;the equivalent circuit of the fault was obtained based on the type of feeder fault in the main station of the distribution network;the current was generated before the disconnection of the feeder switch based on the values of the correlation matrix elements,so as to provide the fault diagnosis and positioning basis, optimize the automatic isolation process of the fault section, and complete the design of the automatic isolation method for the feeder fault section of the network main station. The design method was applied to an example of automatic isolation of feeder lines in the event of a single-phase grounding short circuit fault in a distribution network. The results show that, compared with two traditional methods, the design of automatic isolation method for fault sections can effectively reduce the peak value of fault DC current and reduce the time required to clear fault current in different fault sections. The proposed method has high accuracy and efficiency, improving the reliability and economy of the system.
