Development of Occupational Stress Questionnaire for Military Flight Personnel
AIM: To develop an Occupational Stress Questionnaire for Military Flight Personnel. METHODS: Based on the interviews with military flight personnel, a preliminary questionnaire of 86 items was developed. We conducted a survey using the questionnaire in 234 subjects and screened the items based on the interview results. The reliability and the validity of the questionnaire were examined. RESULTS: Four main factors were identified by exploratory factor analysis, namely, occupational evaluation, flight security, work load, and interpersonal stress, accounting for 55.37% of the whole variance. The Cronbach α coefficient was 0. 96 and the structure validity was good. CONCLUSION: The Occupational Stress Questionnaire of Military Flight Personnel we developed can be used in psychological research on military flight personnel.
