Suppressing effect of Yupingfeng Powder Prescription in treatment of chronic urticaria
AIM: To investigate the mechanism of Yupingfeng Powder Prescription in the treatment of chronic urticaria. METHODS: To observe the inhibitory effect of Yupingfeng Powder Prescription ( YPP) on rat passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA), the relativity of immunoglobulin E( IgE), the times of ruritus of the mice, and Histamine-induced skin on the permeability of capillary. RESULTS : Compared with those in the normal group, the PCA absorbance, IgE levels in serum and capillary permeability of the absorbance increased significantly in the model group(P <0.05). Compared with those in the model group, the PCA absorbance and IgE levels in serum decreased, and the number of itching and itching durations significantly reduced in each treatment group (P < 0. 05). CONCLUSION: Yupingfeng Powder Prescription effectively reduces the serum IgE levels and inhibits capillary permeability and skin itching durations of rats with passive cutaneous anaphylaxis.
