Clinical significance and alteration of coagulation function in acute pancreatitis
AIM:To investigate the relationship between the alteration of coagulation function and symptoms of acute pancreatitis. METHODS: One hundred and eight cases with acute pancreatitis who had been admitted to hospital within 24 h were divided intomild acute pancreatitis (MAP) group (68 cases) and sever acute pancreatitis(SAP) gtoup(40 cases) according to "The Standard of Clinical Diagnosis and Classification of Acute Pancreatitis",and 60 healthy people were included in the study as control. The coagulation function of the 3 groups were examined and analyzed. RESULTS: The data of MAP group were a little higher than that of healthy, but there was no significant difference between the 2 groups( MAP vs Healthy,P > 0. 05). The data of MAP group were much higher than that of SAP group and healthy group, and there was a significance difference between them(SAP vs MAP,SAP vs Healthy,P<0.05). The data of FIB and D-D of SAP group were positively correlated with the APACHEⅡ score(r=0.84,r=0.86). The length of stay, the incidence rate of complications and the mortality in SAP group were higher than those of MAP group(SAP vs MAP,P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The coagulation function can reflect the severity of acute pancreatitis and is of some value in the treatment and prognosis of acute pancreatitis.
