Three-dimensional reconstruction of complex geometry of female pelvis
AIM: To establish the three-dimensional reconstruction of complex geometry of organs within the female pelvic. METHODS: A range of female pelvic MRI images with thickness of 0.8 mm were selected and the three-dimensional image reconstructive software MIMICS was used to reconstruct the three-dimensional geometric structure. RESULTS: An independent three-dimensional geometric structure was obtained respectively for the obturator internus, levator ani, bladder, urethra, vagina and rectum, which exactly manifested the relative position of their anatomical structure. CONCLUSION: The three-dimensional model of female pelvic organs demonstrates their anatomical structures and geometric shapes, which provides evidence for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of dysfunction of the female pelvic organs.
