Effect of proliferation and apoptosis on LoVo cells by matrine injections in vitro
AIM: To investigate the effect of proliferation and apoptosis on LoVo cells by matrine injections in vitro. METHODS: The inhibition of Matrine injections on Lovo cells was detected by trypanblau staining and MTT. Fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry were applied to study cell apoptosis of LoVo cells. RESULTS: Matrine infections inhibited the proliferation of LoVo cells in a dose-dependent manner. After treated by matrine, cell apoptosis peak was observed by flow cytometry. The apoptosis rate was(7.3±1.5)% in therapeutic group, higher than that in con-trol group (2.1±0.5) %. CONCLUSION: Matrine injection exerts some anticancer effect, possibly by inhibiting the cell prolif-eration and inducing the apeptosis.
