Expressions of SSEA-1, OCT-4 and GRB in adipose-derived adult stem cells
AIM: To observe the embryo symbol proteins (SSEA-1, OCT-4 and GRB) in mouse adipose-derived adult stem cells (ASCs). METHODS: ASCs were obtained from C57 mouse adipose tissues and were cultured in DMEM/F12 with 100 mL/L fetal bovine serum. The third passage of ASCs was induced to differentiate after exposure to adipocytic or osteogenic medium. The expressions of proteins (SSEA-1, OCT-4 and GRB) at the embryonic stage of the third passage of ASCs were observed. RESULTS: The cells isolated from adipose tissue of C57 mice had stable capability of proliferation. Osteoblast and adipocytes were induced from C57 mouse ASCs in vitro. SSEA-1, OCT-4 and GRB were expressed to different degrees in the third passage of ASCs. CONCLUSION: Adipose-derived adult stem cells express productions at the embryonic stage in C57 mice, which may be related to the multipotent differentiation of ASCs.
