Clinical analysis on radiofrequency catheter ablation in 40 patients with atrial fibrillation
AIM: To investigate the efficacy and safety of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation(AF). METHODS: Forty cases were diagnosed AF, 35 cases were paroxysmal and 5 cases were chronic. Segmental pulmonary vein isolation were performed in 3 cases, circumflex pulmonary vein isolation by Carto in 16 cases and by EnSite in 21 cases. Efficacy and safety were evaluated. RESULTS: The primary successful rate was 100%, sinus rhythm was sustained in 83.3% patients after three months. The successful rate was 97.1% in paroxysmal AF. There was no severe complications. CONCLUSION: Radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation is effective and safe.
