Effect of radius and ulna osteotomy on treatment of serious forearm malformation caused by Hereditary Multiple Exostoses
AIM:To discuss the effect of radius and ulna osteotomy on treatment of serious forearm malformation caused by Hereditary Multiple Exostoses(HME).METHODS:3 HME patients(5 forearm)received radius trapezoid osteotomy and radiUS capitulum annular ligament repairing to correct forearm capitulum deformity,and meanwhile,ulnar wedgy osteotomy to correct bowing deformity.RESULTS:Follow-ups show that these cases all have successfully improved on rectify of forearm deformity and forearm rotating.CONCLUSION:Radius and ulna osteotomy and radius capitulum annular ligament repairing to forearm capitulure deformity and ulnar bowing and shorting deformity that caused by HME is approbatory surgical way.
