Review of Flexible Interconnection of Regional Grids Interconnection Planning and Operation Techniques for High Percentage of Renewable Energy Consumption
With the gradual penetration of large-scale renewable energy in power grids of different voltage levels, regional power grids show uneven distribution of sources and loads, and the transmission and substation equipment capacity is both tight and excessive.the consumption of renewable energy is seriously limited. The new form of interconnection of medium voltage levels within or between regional power grids can effectively reduce redundant transmission and share the transmission pressure of the upper grid, which has broad application prospects. In this paper,we review and prospect the flexible interconnection planning and operation technology of regional grids for a high percentage of renewable energy consumption.Firstly, the new forms and challenges of regional power grids to cope with the high proportion of renewable energy consumption are introduced.Secondly, typical flexible interconnection technologies are elaborated. On this basis,it sorts out the status quo of interconnection planning and operation technology. It summarizes and puts forward the research focus and solution ideas of key factors of regional power grids in the new form. Finally, the summary and prospects provide a scientific basis for the planning and operating regional power grids with a high proportion of renewable energy.
