Prevalence and Antimicrobial Resistance Analysis of Pet Derived Enterococcus in Wuhan
To investigate the prevalence and drug resistance of pet derived Enterococcus in Wuhan in 2022,121 strains of pet derived Enterococcus were tested for their resistance to 10 antimicrobials using a micro broth dilution method. The results showed that the resistance rates of 121 strains of Enterococcus to amika-cin and tetracycline were 98.3%and 96.7%,respectively;Next were erythromycin,gentamicin,ciprofloxa-cin,levofloxacin,amoxicillin clavulanic acid; The resistance level to ampicillin, linezolid, and vancomycin was relatively low.90.1%of the strains were resistant to 3 or more antimicrobials, and 33.0%of the strains were resistant to 6 or more antimicrobial.Under the concept of"One health",by detecting the resistance of pet derived Enterococcus in Wuhan,we provide a basis for clinical medication, analyze the resistance of pet derived bacteria, and evaluate their impact on public health and safety by assessing the transmission link between pet owners and pets.
