Diabetic foot with chronic osteomyelitis is a common complication of diabetes,which has a high amputation rate and mortality rate.At present,there is no reliable treatment.Establishing a mature model of diabetic foot with chronic osteomyelitis can promote the further development of treatment methods.Ac-cording to the respective types and causes of diabetes and osteomyelitis,there are many modeling methods for research and selection,but there is no research report on the animal model of diabetic foot osteomyeli-tis.In this paper,the research progress of osteomyelitis are reviewed,and the method of establishing diabet-ic foot with chronic osteomyelitis in rats is put forward,and the advantages and disadvantages of various models are analyzed,so as to lay the foundation for establishing an animal model for studying diabetic foot osteomyelitis.
