Research Progress on Detoxification of Fumonisin B1
Fumonisin B1(FB1)is a water-soluble metabolite produced by Fusarium oxysporum, which is one of the prevalent mycotoxins, naturally occurring in cereals, oilseed crops, nuts, forage and feedstuffs.FB1 ex-posure can produce different toxic effects on the nervous system, respiratory system, digestive system and re-productive system, causing immeasurable economic losses in global agriculture and animal husbandry. The cur-rent research focus lies in the detoxification of FB1 and mitigation of its toxic impact. Therefore, this article comprehensively reviewed the physical, chemical, biological methods and applications of FB1 detoxification. With a particular focus on the strains and enzymes commonly used for FB1 biodetoxification,as well as their detoxification effects and mechanisms,a thorough and detailed discussion was pursued, aiming to provide ref-erence and ideas for improving the detoxification efficiency of FB1 and developing a new FB)detoxification method.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(1):115-123]
