Research Progress on Regulation of Rumen Function by Yeast Culture
Yeast culture is a kind of unique microecological product,which is formed by yeast after full fer-mentation on a specific medium under the control of specific technological conditions.Yeast culture is rich in protein,small peptides,oligosaccharides,vitamins,minerals,enzymes and many unknown growth factors,and has significant positive effects on ruminant growth performance,immune function and rumen fermentation.In this paper,the effects and action mechanisms of yeast culture on rumen fermentation and rumen microorgan-isms in ruminants were reviewed in order to provide theoretical basis for further research on the effects of yeast culture on rumen fermentation in ruminants.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(3):1463-1472]
