Nutritional Value and Anti-Nutritional Factors of Rapeseed Cake Meal and Its Application in Swine Feeding
Rapeseed cake meal is rich in crude protein with a well-balanced amino acid profile, making it a high-quality plant-based feed protein resource. However, the presence of anti-nutritional factors in rapeseed cake meal, such as glucosinolates, tannins, phytic acid, and erucic acid, has adverse effects on nutrient ab-sorption and growth in pigs.To improve its nutritional value, raw materials are commonly detoxified using physical, chemical, and biological approaches.Among these, biological detoxification methods, such as en-zyme treatment and fermentation, have been widely studied and applied to reduce anti-nutritional factors, lower fiber content, and improve the palatability and nutritional value of rapeseed cake meal. This review provides an overview of the nutritional value of rapeseed cake meal,anti-nutritional factors, detoxification methods, and its application in pig feed, aiming to facilitate the efficient utilization of rapeseed cake meal resources.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(7):4103-4115]
