Analysis of Contents of Conventional Nutritional Components,Mineral Elements,Vitamins and Fatty Acids in Sewa Sheep Milk
To compare the differences in the contents of conventional nutritional components, mineral ele-ments,vitamins and fatty acids between Sewa sheep milk and East Friensian sheep milk, ten Sewa sheep and ten East Friensian sheep were selected each.Sewa sheep were grazed and raised in a high-altitude ecosystem, while East Friensian sheep were raised in a plain barn. Two types of sheep had the same parity(second preg-nancy)and were in the middle lactation stage(day 50).Milk samples were collected for measurement during morning and evening milking. The results showed that the contents of fat, total solids, calcium, potassium, copper, magnesium, selenium, vitamin A,vitamin B1,vitamin B3,vitamin C,vitamin E,as well as butyric acid, hexanoic acid, octanoic acid, sunflower acid, lauric acid, decanoic acid, myristic acid, pentadecanoic acid, palmitic acid, decadecanoic acid, decadecanoic acid, stearic acid, linolenic acid, arachidonic acid, arachidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, heneicosanoic acid, behenic acid and oleic acid in Sewa sheep milk were significantly or extremely significantly higher than those in East Friensian sheep milk(P<0.05 or P<0.01),while there were no significant differences in the protein, lactose, urea nitrogen and linoleic acid con-tents,as well as freezing point and acidity between Sewa sheep milk and East Friensian sheep milk(P>0.05).In conclusion, the contents of some conventional nutrients, mineral elements, vitamins and fatty acids in Sewa sheep milk are higher than those in East Friensian sheep milk. The results of this experiment provide a basis for the further utilization of Sewa sheep milk.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(7):4554-4561]
