Effects of Diets with Different Levels of Metabolic Energy and Protein on Growth Performance,Energy and Nitrogen Metabolism,Serum Biochemical Indicators of Yunshang Black Goats during Growing Period
This study aimed to investigate the effects of different dietary metabolic energy and protein levels on the growth performance, energy and nitrogen metabolism and serum biochemical indicators of Yunshang black goats during growing period.Selected eighty healthy 6-month-old Yunshang black goats with similar body weight were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 20 goats in each group.Dietary metabolic energy level and protein level were set at 9.8(high),8.2 MJ/kg(low)and 13%(high),10%(low),respectively,and then four experimental diets were prepared.Goats in the 4 groups fed high metabolic energy and high protein diet(HEHP group),high metabolic energy and low protein diet(HELP group),low metabolic energy and high protein diet(LEHP group),low metabolic energy and low protein diet(LELP group),respectively. The pretrial period was 14 days, and the experimental period was 50 days.On the 23rd day of the experimental pe-riod,5 goats were randomly selected from each group for digestion and metabolism experiment of 5 days. The results showed as follows:1)the daily weight gain(ADG)and dry matter intake(DMI)of the HELP group were significantly higher than those of the LEHP and LELP groups(P<0.05).The feed to gain ratio(F/G)of the HELP group was the lowest, which was significantly lower than that of the LELP group(P<0.05).2)The deposited nitrogen and net protein utilization rate of the HELP group were significantly higher than those of the LELP group(P<0.05).3)The gross energy digestibility, gross energy metabolic rate and digestible ener-gy metabolic rate of the HELP group were significantly higher than those of the LEHP and LELP groups(P<0.05).4)The contents of glucose, total protein and albumin in serum of the HELP group were the highest, which were significantly higher than those of the LELP group(P<0.05).The serum urea nitrogen content of the HELP group was significantly lower than that of the HEHP and LEHP groups(P<0.05).5)The weight gain benefit of the HELP group was the highest, which per goat was 4.759 CNY/d,while that of the LELP group was the lowest, which per goat was 2.380 CNY/d.In summary, the dietary metabolic energy level of 9.8 MJ/kg and protein level of 10%is beneficial to maintain the normal physiological function, promote the digestion and absorption of nutrients, and improve the ADG and weight gain benefit of Yunshang black goats during growing period.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(8):5229-5241]
