Analysis of Nutrient Contents of Copra Meal and Evaluation of Its Nutritional Value in Yellow Feathered Broiler Chickens by in Vitro Biomimetic Method
The objective of this study was to analyze the conventional nutrient contents of geogenic feed raw material copra meal in Hainan province, and evaluated the nutritional value in yellow feathered broiler chickens by in vitro biomimetic method,to explore the relationship between conventional nutrient contents and enzyme hydrolysate gross energy(EHGE).Fourteen copra meals were collected from different regions of Hainan prov-ince,the contents of conventional nutrient, amino acids and mineral elements were determined, and the in vitro dry matter digestibility(IVDMD),in vitro crude protein digestibility(IVCPD),in vitro gross energy digesti-bility(IVGED)and EHGE were determined by biomimetic digestive system for monogastric animals. The re-sults showed as follows:1)the dry matter content mean of copra meal was 93.56%,the crude protein content mean was 17.15%,the ether extract content mean was 22.39%,the gross energy mean was 23.20 MJ/kg,the crude fiber content mean was 16.20%,the neutral detergent fiber content mean was 43.06%,and the acid de-tergent fiber content mean was 29.38%.2)The total amino acid content mean of copra meal was 13.73%,a-mong them, the methionine content mean was 0.23%,and the lysine content mean 0.70%.3)The calcium content of copra meal was low,and the mean was 673.69 mg/kg;the phosphorus content was high, and the mean was 5 549.49 mg/kg.4)Using the biomimetic digestive system for monogastric animals simulated the digestion process of yellow feathered broiler chickens, determined the EHGE mean of copra meal was 12.05 MJ/kg,the IVDMD mean was 37.29%,the IVCPD mean was 70.81%,and the IVGED mean was 51.44%.There were significant positive correlations between the EHGE and IVGED with ether extract content of copra meal(P<0.05).It was concluded that the conventional nutrient contents of geogenic feed raw materi-al copra meal in Hainan province are quite different.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(8):5376-5386]
