Research Progress on Application of Fermented Feed in Sow Production
Utilizing biological fermentation technology to treat non-conventional raw materials such as straw,dregs,cake meals,tail vegetables or conventional raw materials such as soybean meal and com,can expand the resources of feed raw materials,as well as enhance the nutritional value of raw materials and improve the palatability of diets.Feeding bio-fermented feed can also improve the production performance and health of ani-mals to a certain extent.Currently,different types of fermented feed have been used in large quantities in sow breeding in China,which has a positive impact on improving the production performance of breeding sows and the health of sows and piglets.This paper reviewed the characteristics of fermented feed and their application in sow production,aiming to provide reference for the rational use of fermented feed in sow breeding,to improve the economic benefits of pig breeding and to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of pig farming.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(9):5460-5467]
