Relative Bioavailability of Tricalcium Phosphate by High Temperature Sintering in Broilers from 1 to 21 Days of Age
In this study, the relative bioavailability of tricalcium phosphate(TCP)by high temperature sinte-ring to mono-calcium and di-calcium phosphate(MDCP)was evaluated by using the growth performance,ser-um phosphorus metabolism, tibial development and phosphorus metabolism related indices of broilers from 1 to 21 days of age, aiming to provide a reference for the efficient utilization of TCP in broilers.A total of 1 080 Arbor Acres(AA)broilers of 1-day-old were randomly divided into 9 groups with 6 replicates per group and 20 broilers per replicate using a"2x4+1"two-factor completely randomized design.Five inorganic phosphorus supplemental levels were set for each of the two phosphorus sources, which were 0(control group, basal di-et),0.07%,0.14%,0.21%and 0.28%,respectively,corresponding to 9 groups(control group shared). The content of non-phytic acid phosphorus in the basal diet was 0.16%.The experiment lasted for 21 days. The results showed as follows:1)compared with the control group, the final body weight and average daily gain(ADG)of broilers from 1 to 21 days of age in phosphate supplemental groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the mortality was significantly decreased(P<0.05).With the increase of dietary phosphate supplemental level, the final body weight,ADG and average daily feed intake(ADFI)of broilers from 1 to 21 days of age were linearly increased(P<0.05),and the mortality was linearly decreased(P<0.05).2)Compared with MDCP,TCP supplementation significantly increased the serum calcium and phosphorus con-tents of broilers at 21 days of age(P<0.05).With the increase of dietary phosphorus supplemental level, the serum calcium and phosphorus contents of broilers at 21 days of age were linearly decreased(P<0.05).3)Compared with the control group, the tibia density and tibia strength of broilers at 21 days of age in phosphorus supplemental group were significantly increased(P<0.05).With the increase of dietary phosphorus supplemen-tal level, the tibial length, tibial density, tibial mineral content and tibial strength of broilers at 21 days of age were linearly increased(P<0.05).When the dietary phosphorus supplemental level was 0.28%,the tibia development indices of broilers at 21 days of age were significantly higher than those when the dietary phosphorus supplemental levels were 0.07%and 0.14%(P<0.05).4)Compared with the control group, the tibia calcium and phosphorus contents of broilers at 21 days of age in phosphorus supplemental group were significantly increased(P<0.05).With the increase of dietary phosphorus supplemental level, the tibia ash, calcium and phosphorus contents and the total phosphorus deposition in ash of broilers at 21 days of age were linearly increased(P<0.05).5)Using MDCP(100.0%)as reference and the growth performance, tibia development and phosphorus metabolism related indices of broilers from 1 to 21 days of age as evaluation indices, the relative bioavailability of TCP by high temperature sintering ranged from 63.6%to 117.8%.In conclusion, compared with MDCP(100.0%),the relative bioavailabili-ty of TCP by high temperature sintering in broilers from 1 to 21 days of age is 96.4%;when the phosphorus source is TCP by high temperature sintering, the optimal supplemental level of inorganic phosphorus is 0.28%.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(11):6989-7002]
