A Detection Method Based on Ion Exclusion Chromatography for Simultaneous Determination of Lactic Acid and Seven Short-Chain Fatty Acids
In this study,a detection method for simultaneous determination of lactic acid and seven short-chain fatty acids based on the principle of ion exclusion chromatography was introduced, and the method was evalua-ted using intestinal contents and feces as substrates. The results showed that when the linear range of the con-tents of eight organic acids was from 1 to 500 μg/mL,the linear correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.999,and the detection limit was from 0.02 to 0.15 g/kg.The recovery rates ranged from 80.28%to 116.99%,and the relative standard deviations were all smaller than 10%,when eight organic acid standard substances with different contents(1,4 and 10 g/kg)were added. This preprocessing of this method is simple and can simultaneously detect the contents of many key organic acids related to animal gut, providing a new method for the detection of short-chain fatty acids and lactic acid.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2024,36(11):7445-7453]
