Fluorescent"Chameleon":A Popular Science Experiment Based on Dynamic Luminescence
In this popular science experiment, the non-toxic ZnGa2O4:Bi3+fluorescent material was prepared which has three mode luminescence properties including tunable multicolor emission, dynamic photochromic and thermochromic fluorescence properties.By utilizing the"chameleon-like"fluorescence characteristics of the material,we designed three kinds of display schemes for information security application. The experiment is not only interactive and interesting, but also has a good effect on popular science practice, which is helpful to stimulate students'enthusiasm for learning chemistry, and help adolescents experience the rich connotation of"beautiful chemistry".
