An Exploration of the Conceptual History of the Chinese Model of Higher Education
The rapid and unique development of higher education in China has gradually made the Chinese model of higher education a highly concerned concept.Clarifying the origin and essence of this concept is of great significance for understanding the development path of Chinese higher education and promoting innovation in the discourse system of higher education.By adopting the research paradigm of conceptual history,this paper explored the history and literature on the development of Chinese higher education and comprehensively analyzed the evolution of discourse connotation.The findings show that the socialist higher education system with Chinese characteristics is the initial form of higher education,and the independence and national spirit are its ideological core.The strong leadership of the Communist Party of China is the fundamental guarantee for its formation and development,and Chinese-style higher education governance is its essential connotation.It has been continuously constructed and defined in the political and economic changes,revealing its rich value.It provides historical footnotes and theoretical summaries for modernizing Chinese-style higher education.It will continue to be enriched and developed in the great practice of modernization of Chinese-style higher education.
