The Contemporary Approach of "Educational Orientation"
"Three Orientations" have been the direction indicator of China's education reform since the 1980s,and have effectively led and strongly promoted the development of China's modern education for decades.With the evolution of the times,the "orientation" of education shows a different action pattern from the traditional one,which is attached with new era connotations,and full of contradictions and entanglements. Education must actively embrace new technologies and cannot become a slave to technology;education should be independent in the world and cannot be opposed to the world;education has to deal with reality,but it cannot be eager for quick success and instant benefits. At the micro-level,the "educational orientation" should respect individuals and proceed step by step. It should consolidate the foundation from the bottom up,and cultivate character from the inside out. At the meso-level,the "educational orientation" should respect the vitality principle,abide by the inclusiveness principle,and follow the developmental law. At the macro-level,the "educational orientation" should be far-sighted,follow the simple truth,and seek good governance. From now on,education needs to calibrate its "orientation" policy in response to the current situation,pay more attention to individual differences,care more about the vitality of the grassroots,and care more closely for diverse lives. The character of education is constantly striving for progress,and the feelings of education are nourishing. We should always keep an open mind and be brave enough to accept unknown knowledge and technology. Only in this way can we open a new chapter for Chinese education and add wisdom to world education.
