Educational Mentality and its Influence on the Classified Development of Higher Education in China
Educational mentality is the reflection of social mentality in the field of education,and is a social mentality arising from educational problems. At present,the educational mentality of Chinese society is mainly influenced by psychological and cultural traditions,higher education policies,university rankings and the employment orientation of employers. Educational mentality mainly affects the classified development of higher education through institutional,professional and folk expression paths. The influence is mainly manifested in two aspects. Firstly,educational mentality directly constrains the diversified development of higher education types. Secondly,educational mentality indirectly affects the classified development of higher education by influencing the strategies and processes of related reforms in classified development of higher education.It is necessary to increase the supply and fair distribution of higher education opportunities,focus on building a diversified higher education system,and strengthen the guidance of mainstream public opinion to promote the fundamental change of educational mentality,so as to effectively promote and truly realize the classified development of higher education.
