Accelerated Transformation and Diversified Development:The Action Path and the Practical Logic of ExcellenceES in France
In order to promote the accelerated transformation and diversified development of French higher education,the French government proposed and implemented the "ExcellenceES" in 2021. The core objective of the program is to promote excellence in the transformation of higher education and research institutions in the areas of teaching,local action,scientific research,student life,science,technology and culture. The diversified transformation of French higher education is driven by an interwoven foundation of human-centered,resource-based,competitive,and geopolitical practices. This collective effort aims to build a more outstanding higher education system in France. After three rounds of selection,the French government selected a total of 46 projects that showed outstanding potential and high innovation,and provided them with financial support. Exploring the action path and practical logic of France's ExcellenceES Plan and understanding the internal mechanism of the transformation and development of French higher education can provide reference experience and inspiration for the high-quality transformation and development of Chinese higher education.
