Discussion on the Decision-making Mechanism for Undergraduate Major Settings in Local Ordinary Universities
The decision-making mechanism for undergraduate major settings in local ordinary universities refers to the relationship between decision-making elements and their operation mode when local universities make decisions on new major settings issues. Its operation logic includes the following:in order to achieve the decision-making goal, the decision-making subjects formulates and improves the alternative major settings plan, evaluates and ranks these plans using decision-making standards and methods, and selects new majors based on group consensus. From the actual operation of the mechanism, due to the deviation in the understanding of the decision-making goal, there are problems such as the absence of decision-making subjects, the lack of content of alternative major settings plan, and the lack of scientificity of decision-making standards and methods, the decision-making mechanism fail to achieve its due effectiveness. To improve this decision-making mechanism,it is necessary to optimize the participation mode and power distribution of decision-making subjects based on a further correct understanding of the decision-making goals and their relationship with other decision-making elements, formulate a comprehensive and operational alternative major settings plan, and improve the scientificity of decision-making standards and methods.
