A Study of the Contemporary Cultural Value of Chengdu Historical Celebrity Yue Zhongqi:Centered on Yue Zhongqi's Governance of Sichuan Tibet Road
As a famous strategic figure in the western frontier of the Qing Dynasty,Yue Zhongqi played an important role in the governance of Sichuan Tibet Road,and promoted the initial formation of the strategy of the Qing Dynasty to govern Xizang relying on Sichuan and Sichuan Tibet Road.During the governance of the Sichuan Tibet Road during the Kangxi,Yongzheng,and Qianlong dynasties,Yue Zhongqi promoted a series of important policy measures such as the es-tablishment of social chieftains,the construction of stations and ponds,and the adjustment of administrative divisions along the way.He was a"hero"of the Qing dynasty's border governance and was praised by Emperor Qianlong as a"gi-ant of the three dynasties'military subjects".He made an indelible contribution to the historical development of the stabili-ty of the western border and the exchange and integration of various ethnic groups in the Kang Tibet region.This paper fo-cuses on the less studied local chronicles of Sichuan in the Qing Dynasty,and attempts to conduct a systematic examina-tion of Yue Zhongqi's life and achievements in governing the Sichuan Tibet Road.Through this,it explores the connota-tion and value of Yue Zhongqi's historical and cultural values in strengthening the awareness of the Chinese nation's com-munity,patriotism education,integrity culture education,and rural revitalization culture construction,as well as the strate-gies for creative transformation and innovative development.
