University news and public opinions play an important role in students'political guidance,value cultiva-tion and behavior shaping,and are an important part of ideological and political work in colleges and universities.In order to explore the influence mechanism of college news and public opinions on the communication effectiveness of students and put forward targeted improvement countermeasures,the paper,taking 1293 students as its research objects and bases on the theoretical model framework of"cognitive-affection-conation Pattern"(CAC theory),carries out a survey,whose questionnaire was developed from the dimensions of psychological cognition,emotional attitude and behavioral intention towards news and public opinions in colleges and universities.The structural equation model was used for exploratory em-pirical analysis.It's found out that college students'psychological cognition and emotional attitude towards news and pub-lic opinions have a significant positive impact on behavioral intention,and there is a significant positive correlation be-tween psychological cognition and emotional attitude,and psychological cognition will have a significant impact on behav-ioral intention through emotional attitude.
