"Curriculum ideological and political education"is a new concept for reforming and innovating traditional ideological and political education under new historical conditions."Chemistry and Life"is an elective course on the uni-versity-level general education platform,designed to broaden students'horizons and enrich their general knowledge of life.This article elaborates in detail on the construction process of curriculum ideological and political education from various aspects such as the necessity of the ideological and political construction of"Chemistry and Life,"the implementation methods of curriculum ideological and political education,and feedback on the teaching effects of curriculum ideological and political education.Survey results indicate that curriculum ideological and political education is conducive to improv-ing teaching quality,promoting the comprehensive development of students,and providing suggestions and references for further optimization of the ideological and political teaching strategies of general courses,as well as for formulating sys-tematic and standardized curriculum ideological and political teaching plans.
