The Discourse Characteristic of Apology Statement on Sina Weibo:A Genre-based Analysis
This paper analyzes the move-step structure of apology statements on Sina Weibo from 2018 to 2024.Based on genre analysis,it is found that these apology statements are composed of nine moves,each containing several steps.Despite the differences in negative events,locations,and contexts,these statements exhibit overall standardized structural features,with clear communicative purposes and several key linguistic strategies employed to mitigate the impact of negative events on the company and rebuild public trust.This paper provides effective communication and relationship repair strategies for companies facing negative events.
