Review and Prospect of the Construction of Primary and Secondary School Teachers in China since Reform and Opening
Since the reform and opening up,the construction of primary and secondary school teachers in China has achieved brilliant results,great development and great prosperity,and has provided a guarantee for the healthy development of basic education.The achievements in the construction of primary and secondary school teachers are mainly reflected in the establishment and overall development of status,steady increase in quantity,significant improvement in overall quality,continuous improvement of training mechanism,continuous improvement of management mechanism,etc.However,there still exist such problems as further improvement of the overall quality of the construction of teachers in primary and secondary schools,the optimization of the configuration,and further improvement of the management system.The construction of teachers in primary and secondary schools in the future can be continued as follows:first,to strengthen and improve the party's leadership over the construction of teachers in primary and secondary schools;second,to build an integrated and open modern teacher education system;and third,to improve primary and secondary school teachers status and remuneration,and increase the professional attractiveness of primary and secondary school teachers;the fourth is to improve the management mechanism of primary and secondary school teachers,which mainly includes improving the qualification system for primary and secondary school teachers,raising the professional threshold for primary and secondary school teachers,improving the promotion and evaluation mechanism for teachers'titles,stimulating the vitality and potential of teachers communication and mutual assistance mechanism,optimizing the allocation of teachers,improving teacher training mechanism for primary and secondary schools,and boosting teachers'professional development.
