In the current era of big data,the course of Probability Theory,as a compulsory basic course for students major in mathematics and statistics in higher education institutions,has a lot of applications in big data analysis.In this paper,we mainly study and explore the problems in the teaching process of this course in the background of big data era,and propose some improvement methods for teaching methods,teaching tools and assessment methods,so as to cultivate students'ability to solve practical problems with theoretical knowledge and realize the goal of developing compound talents.
