Cultural Self-Confidence is the most fundamental, deepest and most enduring force in the development of a nation and a people. Strengthening cultural confidence is the need of the times to comprehensively build a socialist modernized power and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Society relies on universities to lead, and university libraries should become practitioners of "cultural confidence". On the basis of analyzing the connotation of cultural confidence and the coupling between cultural confidence and the value of university libraries, this article proposes a new development direction for university libraries based on cultural confidence enhancement from the perspectives of concept innovation, spatial layout, resource endowment, service ecology, scholarly campus, and regional characteristic culture.
